Mahin Hossain

Meet Mahin, our fearless leader. Mahin is a senior, studying neuroscience with minors in Global Public Health, Economics, and Pharmaceutical Sciences. Mahin is Beta Beta class and currently serves as our president. Her former positions include co-fellowship chair and co-special events chair. Her favorite Phi Sigma Pi memory is the 2018 Fall retreat: "it was the first large event my pledge class was able to attend and it was the first real time that I felt I connected with the chapter. I made some of my closest friends that day and ate more hotdogs and s'mores than I should have." A fun fact about Mahin is that she has been attacked by stray dogs while abroad on two separate occasions in two different countries, woof! When asked to pick between oatmeal raisin and white chocolate chip macadamia, Mahin said, "I hate oatmeal raisin but I'm severely allergic to macadamia nuts...so, I guess macadamia nut."

Recruitment Requirements
 

In order to join PSP, you must meet the following qualifications:

1. You must have completed at least one semester of college (that means at least 12 credit hours).

2. You must still have two semesters left at OSU AFTER your semester of initiation.

3. You must have a minimum GPA of 3.0.

4. You must attend one speed-interview and one recruitment event.

 

Recruitment happens every Fall and Spring, so make sure to check back often for specific dates of events!

 

See? Not so bad! If you are offered a bid and become a Brother of Beta Iota, you will be expected to attend weekly chapter meetings and attend a minimum of 10 events per semester (broken up between the various committees). Membership dues are paid each semester.
